CARIZmas

I think I've just concluded my best Christmas ever. It came in waves. A trilogy, you might call it.

Part 1:
College Christmas, where you have to get presents 2 weeks early, to make sure you get/give everything before people go back home for the holidays. College Christmas was beautiful, because you got things that you didn't really need at all, but really wanted! Instead of ugly sweaters and a pack of socks, we ripped open the wrapping paper, ribbons and bells to be greeted with video games, sets of tv seasons, Disney movies and other things that promote sloth.

Dinner at Buca di Peppo's!

Presents!
Airborne! All the way!
Part 2:
Calendar Christmas, spent in Arizona, where it snowed. We stayed at a family friend's house - they live in a senior citizen community so we got to drive the golf cart around and go to their amazing gym to play racquetball for the first time. I also went shooting for the first time (at a range, so no animals or small children were hurt). Holding and shooting a gun isn't really all that fantastic, I think that look-at-me-I'm-so-cool-and-holding-a-gun-makes-me-feel-powerful mentality is more of a guy thing. However, I did enjoy hitting the target, and I'm not trying to toot my own horn but I did hit the bullseye quite a few times. Toot.

Miserable in the snow. I was born to be a Californian.

Toot.
Part 3:
Reunion Christmas, also known as New Years Eve, when high school friends come back from prestigious universities to compare classes, moan at our declining GPAs, and laugh at stressful high school times that we have tried to repress from our memories.

Besties of 08 and forever

Oh happiness =)
Happy 2009 to you!
