Xerox a Memory

Clicking through old blog posts is comparable to thumbing through pages in an old diary. These once valued moments, carefully captured with words, can be deleted in an instant. Easier than throwing away a journal or burning old pictures is a simple click of a mouse, tempting a better person of today to forget about the frivolities of the past.

I write for the love of words. I write to Xerox a memory, even the best of the worst. And because of this, my blog posts remain, even the silly ones, or the ill worded ones.

My hope as a casual writer is not to impress upon you how impeccable of a life I lead, nor to share moanings and groaning about woe is me. My hope is that I grow through my experiences, to be a better writer, a more generous human being, and an improved friend.

The social media mania demands that we have something important to say every few hours. But often these words lack substance, and merely get lost in another live feed. Occasionally I may give in to a tangential Star Wars blog, but for the most part, as always …

I just want to read good writing in order to inspire writing good reading.
