As the end of the semester draws near, it brings excitement but also the flu. On Tuesday morning I woke up, tried to get out of bed, and after failing, did not "try try again" for the rest of the day. Thankfully I was okay for Thanksgiving, but I got sick again after working for 9 hours on Black Friday. With finals coming up, I have no choice but to man up and go to school anyways. Hopefully I'll be able to fight it off soon.
On Black Friday, before work, I had a couple hours to spare so I decided to go to the local mall to do some pre-shopping/idea collecting for Christmas gifts. I never made it there, because I took one look at the stand still on the freeway and turned around. I did however, go to the Dollar Tree and got wonderful wrapping paper. I'm super duper excited to wrap some presents, but here's to hoping that I'll be well enough for Christmas!
Thanksgiving was fantastic - I don't think I've ever had a better one, despite my illness. I felt like the judges on Top Chef cuz I just tried a little bit of each dish (and each of the 3 turkeys!). Most people work so they can eat, I wish I could eat as my work. But not anytime soon...my stomach won't be holding anything down anytime soon. =(
